Why Northvane

Structured Learning That Fits Your Stage of Life

Our programmes are designed specifically for adults navigating financial decisions in midlife — not for new graduates or seasoned traders.

Paced for Busy Adults

Sessions are recorded and self-paced. No pressure to complete by a certain day — work through materials on evenings or weekends as suits you.

Grounded in Malaysian Context

Every example references EPF, Amanah Saham, RPGT, and the instruments and regulations relevant to households in Malaysia — not generic Western models.

No Agenda Attached

We do not sell financial products or receive referral fees. The courses exist to give you a clearer picture — what you do with that picture is entirely your own choice.

Practical Written Materials

Each course comes with worksheets, glossaries, and comparison sheets you can keep. Printable formats designed for note-taking alongside a cup of coffee.

Facilitated Discussion

Some courses include moderated group sessions where participants can raise real questions in a considered environment — no cold-calling, no judgment.

Careful, Measured Tone

Our materials avoid alarm, false urgency, and any language that pushes you toward a particular outcome. The aim is reflection, not anxiety.

Common Questions

Things People Often Ask

Do I need a financial background to join these courses?
No prior knowledge is assumed in any of our programmes. The introductory course begins with the absolute basics of reading a payslip and a bank statement. The fixed income and property courses assume you can read a table of numbers but nothing more advanced than that.
Are these courses held in person or online?
The recorded sessions are available online at your own pace. Some courses also include facilitated discussion sessions which may be held in person at our George Town office or online, depending on participant preference and cohort size. We confirm the format when you enrol.
How long do I have access to the course materials?
Recorded sessions are available for twelve months from the date of enrolment. Printable worksheets and reference documents are yours to keep permanently. If you need more time with the recorded sessions, please contact us and we will see what can be arranged.
Will I be advised to buy or sell any financial products?
No. Northvane does not hold a financial advisory licence and we do not give personal investment advice. Our courses explain how instruments work, what the relevant terms mean, and what questions are worth asking — the decisions themselves remain entirely with you.
What is the refund policy if I change my mind after enrolling?
A full refund is available within seven days of enrolment, provided you have not yet accessed more than the first session. After that point, we handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly if your circumstances change unexpectedly.
Can I take more than one course at a time?
You can, though many participants find it easier to work through one programme before starting another. The courses are designed to stand independently, and the order in which you take them does not affect the value of each one.
